Former Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingson says Black Stars trainer C.K Akonnor must establish a good plan If he is to succeed.

A lot of questions have been raised in the past as to how players are invited into the national team with people blaming obvious bias.

Laryea Kingson has advised C.K Akonnor to establish a robust scouting system that will scour for active players who are in tip top form for the national team and not fringe players.

The former Heart of Midlothian winger was capped 46 times for Ghana scoring six goals for the Black Stars .

“I think there should be a good scouting plan in place which will go a long way to help him succeed.

“I say this because, during our time, you could see that all the players that were receiving call ups, were playing regularly in their various teams but that’s not the case now.

“I see some of the players who are called up for national assignments these days and it’s something else because clearly one could see that they even struggle to get more playing time,” Laryea told Starr FM Sports.

Laryea Kingson is now a coach with the Right to Dream Academy in Akosombo after a glittering career.
