AshantiGold defeated RS Berkane 3-2 at the Obuasi Len Clay Park in the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.

Eric Donkor opened the scoring for the hosts before captain Shafiu Mohammed doubled their advantage on the stroke of half time.

However the visitors pulled one back few minutes after the recess through striker Mohammed Aziz.

Berkane then leveled through Mohammed Farehane, twelve minutes into the second half to set up a dramatic finish to the game.

The lead did not last as Ashantigold quickly regained the advantage after Amos Addai sneaked in a third.

The Miners will take a slim advantage to Morocco for the second leg in two weeks time.
