The Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) has held a workshop for heads of government institutions to the deal with anomalies on payroll.

The training which was held at Kumasi Culture Center on Friday, August 27, 2021 forms part of government's efforts to remove ghost names from it's payroll.

Director of Institute of management and Entrepreneuship, Mrs. Felicia Ansah said the training will help address the challenges some government workers face during validation process.

"Sometimes many workers encounter difficulties during validation to the extent that their salaries would be delayed" she said.

"The workshop will also assist Controller to know the number of persons to be paid at the end of every month. And it will also help them to deal with ghost names menace on the payroll". Mrs Ansah added.

She urged validators at various institutions to implement what they have been taught to avoid any trouble for themselves.
