Striker, Caleb Ansah Ekuban scored his fourth goal of the season as his side Trabzonspor marked their return to Turkish topflight with an impressive 3-1 away win over Goztepe on Friday night.

Nigerian Nnaduzor Nwakaeme shot the visitors into the lead on the 16th minute mark before Ekuban increased the tally via the penalty spot early in the second half to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Goztepe pulled one back courtesy Alpaslan Ozturk through a 57th-minute penalty but Trabzonspor continued to apply more pressure on the home side leading to an own goal in the 88th minute by Berkan Emir.

The win send Trabzonspor to the summit of the 2019/20 Turkish Super Lig table with 56 points after 27 matches, three points clear of Istanbul Basaksehir who are yet to play their 27th game.

Caleb Ekuban played till the 90th minute before he was replaced by Huseyin Turkman for Trabzonspor.
