Borussia Dortmund are in talks to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan.

Hudson-Odoi would be open to the move as he wants regular first-team football, although Chelsea are undecided whether to allow him to leave.

The 20-year-old has been an unused substitute in Chelsea's opening three Premier League games.

Hudson-Odoi has developed through the club's academy but has struggled to make an impact in the first-team since signing a new five-year deal in September 2019.

The clubs remain in dialogue over what percentage of Hudson-Odoi’s wages will be paid by Dortmund and the size of the fee paid to Chelsea.

The 20-year-old initially wanted to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge this summer, but has seen first-team opportunities notably limited, with Hudson-Odoi having only featured in the Uefa Super Cup win over Villarreal in Belfast so far this term.

Dortmund's Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich have also been interested in signing Hudson-Odoi with Chelsea rejecting several offers from the Bundesliga champions in the past.

Tuchel recently encouraged the player to remain at Chelsea and questioned his decision to refuse a call-up from Lee Carsley’s England Under-21 side.
