Ghanaian striker Dauda Mohammed is delighted to have joined lower tier Spanish side Cartagena from Belgium giants.

The former Asante Kotoko striker made a switch from Anderlecht in the summer transfer window on loan.

It appeared he was set to stay with Anderlecht but secured a last minute move to the lower tier Spanish side where he believes will help him.

Dauda has opened up as to why he decided to move to Spain upon all the offers he had on the table.

“I come to Cartagena because I love this project. I think this move is good for my career," the Ghanaian striker said in an interview with La Verdad.

For Cartagena sports director Manolo Sanchez Breis, he is confident Dauda Mohammed will be a hit very soon to attract a lot of attention.

“What bothers me the most is that we don't have this player in our possession. He will teach us many things. He is a footballer who will soon be talked about a lot,” he said.
