Anderson, suffered a fracture of his left leg in a second division match for Oil City Academy on August 21, the same day Sekondi Hasaacas drew 1-1 with Asante Kotoko at the Sekondi stadium.

His premier league colleagues after their season decided to play the match on the birthing ground of some of the finest footballers from Sekondi Takoradi metropolis, as a sign of sympathy for their fellow. Injury seems to be an eternal adversary of sportsmen, mostly cutting short their promising career.
