Despite having a relatively quite start to the season, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is confidence he can replicate the form which made him the subject of transfer speculation to some top European clubs last summer.

The England youth international was one of the most talked about talents in Europe at the back end of last season before picking up an injury which ruled him out ov action for close to three months.

However, Chelsea managed to keep one of their most promising talent by tieing him to a new long term deal last month.

Odoi has since recovered from the long injury layoff and is looking to work his way back to the top of his game.

Speaking in an interview, the English-born Ghanaian attacker expresses optimism that he will be back to his best in due course.

"definitely think I can improve. I am not a perfect player," Odoi said.

"I say to myself, keep going, keep working hard and hopefully more opportunities will come.

"I just need to get up to speed and get my fitness back. I think once that happens gradually my dribbling and everything will come back to what it was. Now I am feeling a bit more confident to get on the ball and do my stuff", the Youngster added.

Odoi made his full champions league debut for the Blues on Wednesday when he was named in Frank Lampard's starting XI for their 1-0 win over Ajax in Armstadam.
