Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong is desperately waiting for a call up to the Black Stars as its the dream of every player to play for his nation.

The former Anderlecht winger has not featured for Ghana since C.K Akonnor was appointed coach of the Black Stars in January 2020.

Frank Acheampong who plays as the captain for Tianjin Teda in the Chinese Super league has made it clear his intentions to play for the Black Stars again if invited by the head coach C .K Akonnor

In an interview with Kumasi based Ezra FM , Frank Acheampong aka Okebo said “it’s every players dream to wear the jersey of his nation and help achieve greatness for the nation and so he’s ever ready to be back to the senior national team when called upon”.

When asked if he’s perturbed by the lack of call up to the Black Stars, he said,”Ghana has a lot of talents and quality players so if I'm not called it means there are equally talented and quality players to be called up for every game so I'm not perturbed”, he stated.

He adds that he is always unhappy when he sees the national team struggling as he knows he can be of help.

"When I see my nation not doing so well I feel so sad and think I can also help the team to play well when invited
