Former Ghana youth star Clifford Aboagye has departed Mexican club Puebla FC after the expiration of his loan spell with the club.

The Ghanaian winger joined his fourth Mexican team Publa FC in January 2021, less than a year since joining Atlas Lions in July 2019.

The speedy winger secured a season long loan deal to Mexican Liga MX side Club Puebla ahead of the new season but the deal has been ended.

His move to Club Puebla was his fourth in Mexico for the Black Stars midfielder having had stints with Rojinegros del Atlas, Querétaro and Xolos de Tijuana.

The former Granada player made just a single appearance  for Puebla FC since joining in January.

Aboagye won the bronze ball at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup staged in Turkey in 2013.

He earned a call up to the national team ahead of the double header AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sudan.

Aboagye, 26, joined the Liga MX side on loan from Club Tijuana in January 2021.
