Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac has bemoaned the decision by FIFA/CAF to allow players who play for major clubs in Europe to stay one more week.

Players were supposed to report for camping on the 27th December,2021 but FIFA/CAF agreed to extend the release date for clubs in Europe by a week.

Ghana started camping at the Aspire Soccer Academy in Doha-Qatar on the 23rd of December,2021 with players from the local contingent before players who play in Europe started trooping in to the camping.

“Unfortunately the decision from FIFA to allow players to stay in their clubs till Jan 3 affected our plans, since most of the time we didn’t have many players to work with. Been difficult to do some tactical work the way we planned in the beginning.” Milovan lamented.

Ghana departed Doha-Qatar for Cameroon today January 7, after playing a single friendly game against Alegria.

They will open their tournament account against Morocco on Monday, January 10 before taking on Gabon and Comoros respectively in the group stage.
