Bibiani Goldstars head coach, Frimpong Manso, is determined to secure a respectable finish in the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League as the season progresses.

The Miners have made a strong start, boasting four wins and three draws in their first seven matches, placing them at the top of the league table.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Manso emphasized the importance of maintaining focus without succumbing to pressure.

“For the time being, we have not set a specific goal, but as a team, we aim to gain the most points possible from each game and complete the season in a respectable place,” he stated.

Manso expressed his reluctance to make bold predictions about the league title, noting that doing so could add undue pressure on his players, many of whom are relatively new to the Premier League.

“I don't want to say we're going to win the league after seven games because that will put too much pressure on the players.

Most of the players are only getting a taste of the Premier League, and setting such lofty goals for them will put too much pressure on them.”

However, he remained optimistic, stating that if the opportunity to challenge for the title arises, the team will be ready to seize it.

“All I'm trying to say is that it's too early to predict whether or not we'll win it. We will go into each game with a winning mentality and see what happens,” he concluded.

With this balanced approach, Manso aims to navigate the season successfully, ensuring his team remains competitive while fostering their development in the league.
