Instant messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out second update within the same week for Android beta users. The latest app update (v.2.19.21) comes with a new emoji layout for 21 emojis. These emojis come with minute changes, small alterations in colour and design details. This new update was first reported by WABetaInfo, the online channel that tracks the changes on the instant messaging platform. They also shared an image highlighting the difference between the old and new layout.

Readers must note that the bug that was part of the previously rolled out app update (v.2.19.18), has not yet been fixed. "If you open WhatsApp the first time and the last used tab is "Stickers", the button will appear. It will disappear if you switch tab. This trick has been tested on 2.19.18 and 2.19.6 Business," said WABetaInfo. For instance, if the last thing you opened in WhatsApp was Stickers then the search option will be visible. However, if you shut the WhatsApp app and reopen it again, the search option disappears.

The same update also comes with a few media related shortcuts. After the update, when you view a media file shared on WhatsApp, you will be able to see new options including “Set as…” and “Rotate,” when you tap on the three dots on the right corner. While these are only applicable to images, one new option of “Show in chat” will be available for all images, audio and video files. This option will come in handy if you are trying to track the conversation around the time you and your contact shared the media file.

A previous report by WABetaInfo had revealed that WhatsApp is working on the rollout of third-party keyboards integration for Stickers. As per the report, GBoard will be the first keyboard app to use the Stickers Integration, which reportedly was enabled on December 12 but is disabled "probably (because of) development reasons." Once the GBoard app enables this feature, it will come automatically to the WhatsApp Beta on Android. The report also stated that WhatsApp will allow more keyboards to use their integration service in future, but as of now it is exclusive for GBoard.
