Kumasi Asante Kotoko have decided not to honour tomorrow's rescheduled President's cup game with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

The two teams were to do battle this afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but with barely 10 minutes into the game centre referee Bernard Domfeh called for the game to be abandoned since the pitch was too soggy.

Hours before the game torrential rainfall was pouring in the stadium and most parts of Kumasi.

It was even a surprise that the Sports Minister, Hon Isaac Asiamah went on to the pitch to do the ceremonial kick off on behalf of the President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Light Fm, special assistant to the bank roller of the team Nana Gyimbibi Coker confirmed that the porcupine warriors will not honour the game tommorow as they have a crunch Champions league game against Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

According to him the rescheduled President's Cup game can only be nonoured after Kotoko are through with the home and away clash with Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
