Ghanaian musical duo, DopeNation composed of B2 and Twist has told Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview on Kastle FM that getting one million YouTube views in a day doesn’t make a song popular as perceived.

“You can buy one million views on YouTube in just one day because music is perception and people create it for you to believe in it and believe it,” they remarked.

DopeNation said “There’s an amount of money that you can invest in YouTube for them to give you the views. If everybody sees that in just one day you have one million views then it’s perceived that the song is popular”.

Speaking in a live studio encounter on the Kastle Entertainment Show in Cape Coast monitored by MyNewsGh.com, DopeNation said artistes must do the right thing when they release songs instead of staying indoors to create fake hype and trends.

They continued “So everybody turns to go there so we shouldn’t base songs on the fact that this song has hit one million so it’s popular.

“It’s not popular because artistes are supposed to do the right thing if you drop a song go do your tour, work hard and then it’ll pay,” they ended.
