Carel Superkings Cricket Club have vowed not to lose to Everest Cricket Club twice in the Ghana Cricket Association President’s Invitational T20 Tournament which enters the finals, come Sunday, October 27 at the Achimota Oval.

Superkings, having lost to Everest by 9 wickets during the Pool A, week 4 tie played on Sunday September 22, on Oval A, aims at taking a revenge on Everest when they come face to face for the second time in the finals.

In their first meeting, Superkings, upon winning toss, scored 60 runs, all out in 17.5 overs while Everest scored 64 runs, for 1 wicket in 6.3 overs.

But ahead of Sunday's final, Captain of Carel Superkings, Selvaraj Chockalingam has told TalksenseSports, they have corrected their mistakes in the previous match and ready for a win, come Sunday.

“We played to Everest in the Pool and lost to them but we have corrected our mistakes and even done better in the semifinal match. All we know now is we have come out with good solutions, so we will win the finals, that is all", the skipper said.

“Everest is also a team, and winning doesn’t come before the match, it can come for any team. Our aim is to win, we will give our 100% effort. Anything can happen because that is how Cricket is. We will plan the game and all we know is to win.” He added.

Superkings, defeated Supreme Warriors Cricket Club by 5 wickets after a 95-6 & 99-5 in 18 overs results on Oval B in a semifinal tie last Sunday to set up their second clash against Everest.

Players expected to help Carel Superkings lift the coveted trophy, include the Senior national team captain, Isaac Otuafo Aboagye, former captain Peter Ananya, Karthik Mohandass Godfred Bakiweyem, Sam Michael Merbin, Daniel Anefie, Muhammed Imran, Duraisamy Kumaravel and Alex Osei.

The finals will be played at 12:30pm with an expected colorful closing ceremony.
