Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp is optimistic about Crystal Palace's future, believing the club boasts some of the best young talents in England who are poised to reach their full potential in the coming years.

Schlupp, formerly of Leicester City, showcased his belief in Palace's promising prospects as he scored a stunning goal during their recent match against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Having experienced a rotation in positions with players like Eberechi Eze and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi throughout the season, Schlupp has witnessed the emergence of remarkable talent within the Palace squad.

Despite starting the last two games from the bench, he has observed Eze's remarkable performances in the Premier League.

In an interview with the club's official website, the German-born Ghanaian expressed his excitement about the talent pool at Palace and its potential impact on the club's future success.

"Talent and potential-wise, it’s got to be right up there," Schlupp remarked. "I’ve been in other teams where, no disrespect to anyone, but it was an older squad. Potential-wise everyone was at their peak or coming to the end of their peak."

He continued, "It was different. It was more of an experienced side, winning games and grinding through games. Now, you can really see the talent. We have a much younger squad, and Dougie [Freedman] and the team have done so well in bringing in these quality young players."

Schlupp emphasized the imminent rise of these young talents into their prime years, noting the exciting prospects that lie ahead for the club.

With several young players gaining valuable Premier League experience, the team is not only growing in skill but also in tactical awareness and understanding of the league.

"There are a few players now that have been here for three or four years and you have seen them get to the beginning of their primes," Schlupp explained. "You’ve got T [Tyrick Mitchell], you’ve got Michael [Olise], you’ve got Ebs [Eze]."

He added, "Those young boys are stepping into that 24 or 25-year-old age group, which is normally the beginning of your peak.

It’s great to see. There are going to be high expectations because they are quality players, but I think it’s up to them to take that into their stride and really show what they can do."

Schlupp also highlighted the camaraderie within the squad and his role in offering guidance to the younger players as they navigate their football journeys.

“We’re a close group. We always speak and I’ve tried to help, especially when they first started coming through, but they are growing into young men now," Schlupp shared.

"They have had the experience now. They know what they are doing, and we obviously try to help if they need help. We’ll speak."

He concluded, "But I think they are good enough players to take on the advice that they are getting from coaches and really show it themselves now.”
