Algerian Ligue 1 side CS Constantine has joined the race to sign in-demand Ghanaian defender Razak Simpson, submitting a formal $100,000 offer to Nations FC as transfer interest in the center-back continues to intensify.

Simpson, who rose through the ranks at WAFA, has been one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League, earning a reputation as one of the most reliable center-backs in the country.

His rock-solid displays at the heart of defense earned him a call-up to the Black Stars, where he has now made five international appearances.

The 23-year-old defender had a stellar 2024/25 season with Nations FC, scoring four goals in 21 league matches, playing a pivotal role in the club’s impressive title challenge, which they narrowly missed out on.

Hearts of Oak have long held an interest in Simpson, while reports suggest that several European clubs have also made enquiries in recent weeks.

However, CS Constantine appear determined to beat the competition, becoming the first club to make a concrete bid.

Simpson’s stock rose even further after his commanding performance and goal in Ghana’s 4-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago during the Unity Cup in London last month — a match that reinforced his growing influence at the international level.

Nations FC are now expected to assess CS Constantine’s offer as interest in their prized defender continues to grow. A move abroad could mark a major step forward in Simpson’s career, as he looks to build on his recent national team breakthrough.
