Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei scored as Leyton Orient secured a notable victory against Cheltenham Town FC in the lower tier of English football.

Agyei, hailing from England but with Ghanaian roots, played a pivotal role in Leyton Orient's triumph, contributing a crucial assist in the 85th minute that proved decisive in securing the win.

Heading into the match, Cheltenham Town held the advantage in previous encounters, boasting four wins compared to Leyton Orient's two victories and one draw.

However, the O's were determined to rewrite the script. The game unfolded at the Gaughan Group Stadium, with Agyei entering the fray in the 70th minute, replacing Khayon Edwards.

The scoring commenced in the 34th minute when Ethan Galbraith unleashed a thunderous right-footed shot from distance, finding the top left corner of the net, assisted by George Moncur.

Just before halftime, Ollie O'Neill doubled Leyton Orient's lead with a clinical right-footed strike from the left side of the box, with an assist from Jordan Brown.

Agyei's moment of brilliance arrived in the 85th minute. His precise pass set up Ruel Sotiriou, who unleashed a powerful right-footed shot from outside the box, finding the bottom right corner of the net.

Despite a late consolation goal by Joe Nuttall for Cheltenham Town in the 97th minute, Leyton Orient held firm to clinch a well-deserved victory.
