Former Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed scored twice for his lower tier Spanish side FC Cartagena on Friday evening but it was not enough to prevent his side from defeat.

FC Cartagena were handed a 3-2 home defeat by Real Valladolid in the Spanish Segunda Division in their match day 28 tie at the Estadio Municipal Cartagonova.

It rained goals on the night as the visitors opened the floodgates as early as the first minute when Toni Villa put ReaL Valladolid ahead.

Three minutes later the on loan Anderlecht striker Dauda Mohammed leveled for the host in the 3rd minute to make it 1-1.

The visitors shot into the lead in the 33rd minute of the game with Shon Weissman the goal scorer as Real Valladolid went into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Dauda Mohammed later made it 2-2 in the 74th minute after an assist from Alex Gallar.

The away side handed the host a heartbreaking defeat with a goal in the 81st minute from Moroccan International Annuar Mohamed Tuhami to make it 3-2.

Dauda Mohammed was replaced  by Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki in the 82nd minute .

The Ghanaian striker who joined FC Cartegana from Belgian giants Anderlecht in the summer on a season long loan deal has scored six goals in 24 matches for his side.
