Ghanaian striker David Accam scored his first goal for his Swedish top-flight side Hammarby IF on Sunday in his side's match against Halmstad BK.

The first half of the game played at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm failed to produce any goals as both sides cancelled each other out.

Hammarby who were playing at home started the brighter of the two sides but their dominance could not produce any goals.

Things sparked into life in the second half as the Ghanaian striker grabbed his first goal of the season in 72nd minute in a match that produce very little goals.

Accam, 30, who has struggled in front of goal this season glanced home a pass from defender Mohanad Jeahze to give his side a deserving lead.

Hammarby however were not able to hold onto the lead as they conceded a late equalizer from Halmstad BK in the 91st minute through Marcus Antonsson who was set up by Ghanaian attacker Sadat Karim.

He has been involved in 7 matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan this term and has found the back of the net once.
