The new Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah has served notice that he’ll not tolerate acts of hooliganizm, the use of landgaurds and all forms of criminal activities in the region.

According to him, his main focus will be on the reduction of armed robbery and violent crimes on highways, streets and communities to bearest minimum.

The Regional Police Chief made the disclosure on Thursday at his first meeting with Journalist after taking over from COP Nathan Kofi Boakye as the Regional Commander few weeks ago.

DCOP Ken Yeboah said the police command will in the coming days intensify foot and mobile patrol day and night in Kumasi and on highways and feeder roads with the support of the neighborhood watch concept to make Ashanti region violence free to promote business activities.

“I’m therefore challenging my offices to be discipline, to work hard and be committed to the task ahead, there will be no room for laziness and indiscipline.”

The police is however seeking for public and corperate support in the fight against crime in the region to make Ashanti region conducive for business activities.
