Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko will over the weekend play against Ashantigold SC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in a match day 29 clash.

The porcupine warriors who are edging closer to the league title and will need a win to get closer to the promised land whiles the miners have been in fine form the last few weeks.

Public Relations Officer of Ashantigold SC, Eric Karikari says that derby game are always very difficult but his side have revenge on their minds as they take on Kotoko.

"Derby games are always different from other games. We are in good shape so we are preparing to revenge the defeat we had in Baba Yara" he told Light FM in an interview.

He also adds that the main challenge in the game is not the three points but the goal king race between Frank Mbella Etouga and Ashgold's Yaw Annor.

Kotoko's Cameroonian striker currently lead the goal scorers chart on 19 goals whiles he is hotly being pursued by Yaw Annor on 16 goals.

"The main challenge of the game is not the 3 points but the competition between Yaw Annor and Frank Mbella.

Our defenders has vowed to prevent Mbella from scoring but Yaw Annor will score against Kotoko" he added.
