Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Samuel Aboabire, has presented referee uniforms to some selected referees ahead of the Regional Division Two playoffs and the Middle League.

Receiving the items on behalf of the referees, Referees Manager Annan Lomotey and Referee's appointment committee chairman Christian M. Atsatsa thanked the Regional Football Association Chairman for his efforts in ensuring football in the Greater Accra region prospers.

"On behalf of the referees, we would like to express our profound gratitude to the GARFA Chairman and his able Executives for the diverse roles being played" said Chairman Lomotey.

The Greater Accra Regional Football Association in his address hinted that it is his wish to see grassroots football attain its old glory under his tenure as the Regional Football Association Chairman.

"With God on our side, we shall do the needful to see grassroots football back to where it belongs because without it we wouldn't be able to feed our national teams with quality footballers". Chairman Aboabire added.

He added that the likes of Abedi Pele, Richard Kingston, Michael Essien, Sulley Ali Muntari, Bright Addae, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, and Dennis Tetteh are products from the grassroots hence the need for special attention to talent development to make it more profitable.
