Ex- Black Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko central defender Dogo Moro has expressed his opinion on the remarkable issues of hefty winning bonuses paid to the senior national team, Black Stars of Ghana.

The issues of winning bonus after Brazil 2014 World Cup emanated criticism against the senior nation team players and indicted them of being unpatriotic.

The 1963 and 1965 Africa cup winner, in an exclusive interview with Ghanaguardian.com described the winning bonus paid to the Black Stars as gargantuan which the players don't deserved it.

"When you opined on the Black Stars winning bonus, people think you are jealous but the truth is that the players don't deserve such a huge amount of money paid to them by the nation, because they don't justified the money given to them, if we were paid that huge sum in our time,Ghana would have won the World Cup. I swear." Dogo lamented.

"When Real Madrid came to Ghana, they wondered how the Black Stars players were playing at that time, Black Stars could have beaten all the big teams if they were in Europe. Puskas, Santamaria, Gento were all top players in the World that visited Ghana. We drew in a 3-3 thriller, they scored the first two goals before we had the consolation, in the second half we came in strongly to score twice before they equalized in the last minute of the game." He amused.

The 1970 Champions cup winner with Kumasi Asante Kotoko as a player cum team manager Dogo Moro, believes Sulley Muntari must not be blamed after extreme indiscipline at the Brazil 2014 world cup which led to the dismissal of Kelvin Prince Boateng and Muntari from the camp of Black Stars by then head coach Kwesi Appiah.

"Even though Sulley has a bad behavior, I think the leaders should be blamed, he is a good player, the behaviors of the leaders misled him, When Black Stars are out for assignment, the leaders are treated better than the players. That may be the reason Sulley displayed such behavior."

Dogo Moro on white expatriate during their era and how the senior national team was nicknamed Black Stars of Ghana.

"In our time, we had white coaches, have you heard about coach Ember before ? He is the one who made Black Stars popular, he came to Ghana in 1961 and developed the team, the senior national team previously called Ghana eleven was named Black Stars in his era, Ghana is the 2nd country in the world to nicknamed it's national team after Algeria." He stated.

Dogo Moro is one of the celebrated ex- footballers in Ghana and Africa.
Seasoned football administrator, Nana Fitz described him as peerless, exceptional and arguably the best "sweeper" ever in Ghana.
