Real Tamale United have lodged a protest with the Ghana Football Association(GFA) in their match day 27 game against B.A United at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

This follows fan violence that caused the abrupt end of the game after home fans chased and assaulted center referee Maxwell Hanson and his assistants.

RTU on Monday filed a protest against B.A. United, praying the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA to award them the 3 points at stake , as well as 3 goals, in accordance with Regulations of the GFA.

The Zone One league leaders narrated what lead to the abrupt end of the match last Sunday disclosing that the match was halted at the instance of the home fans who caused mayhem.

They then cited the GFA regulations citing Article 33, which deals with forfeiture of match points by a party which causes the abrupt end of a match.

Supporters of BA United chased and assaulted referee Maxwell Hanson and his assistants during their match day 27 league game against Real Tamale United(RTU).

This led to the abrupt end of the said match after the fan violence at the Sunyani Coronation Park despite the presence of security men from the Ghana Police and Military.
