Ghanaian forward Don-Angelo Konadu has signed a contract extension with Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax, extending his stay until June 30, 2028.

His previous contract was set to expire in mid-2025.

At just 18 years old and born in Amsterdam, Konadu has chosen to continue his development with the prestigious club known as the Sons of the Gods.

He joined the Ajax Academy in 2014 from Zeeburgia Yth and has made significant contributions at various youth levels, including the U17 and U21 teams.

Konadu, a versatile attacker capable of playing on the flanks, made his professional debut for Ajax U23 on August 12, 2024, in an away match against PSV U23, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Since then, he has appeared in eight matches for Ajax U23, showcasing his potential and talent.

Marijn Beuker, Ajax's Director of Football, expressed his satisfaction with Konadu's development, stating, "Don-Angelo has developed tremendously over the past few years and is also making good progress this season with Ajax U23.

He is already regularly involved in first-team training sessions with Francesco Farioli.

We are very pleased with this contract extension and see in Don-Angelo a player with great potential to become a regular in the Ajax first team in the near future."

This contract extension highlights Ajax's commitment to nurturing young talent and Konadu's promising future within the club.
