Mr. Anobil Forson, an official of the Electoral Commission (EC) in the Agona West Municipality has urged political party agents to desist from interfering in the exercise to ensure the success of exercise.

The limited registration exercise gives opportunity to people who have attained 18 years and above and those who have never registered before to register.

He gave the advice when he interacted with the Media at Agona Swedru on preparation towards the exercise which started from Monday June 17 and expected to end on Sunday July 7, 2019.

Mr. Anobil-Forson noted that Party agents were there to observe the exercise to promote peace but also have the right to raise concerns if something was not going on as expected and must not physically attack the registration officers.

Mr. Anobil-Forson said three Centers has been created at the Municipal Office at Agona Swedru for people in the area while additional ones could be located at Otsenkorang, Adukrom, Ahamadonko, Nkum to reduce problems of commuting from far distances to register.

The Municipal Director of EC asked party agents and supporters to cooperate with the registration officers for the exercise to end successfully.

A visit to the EC office at Agona Swedru, Gomoa Central and Gomoa East Districts revealed that long queues had been formed as at 16.38 hours.

Mr. Anobil Forson, and Mr. Moses Tia Wuni Gomoa Central EC Officer gave the assurance that everybody would be registered before the exercise ends on July 7.
