The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reaffirmed Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuako as the Chairman of the Club Licensing Committee.

Dr. Baah-Nuako, an economist and esteemed sports journalist, has served in this capacity since November 2019.

Presently, he holds the position of General Manager, Sustainability at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

Joining Dr. Baah-Nuako in leading the Committee is legal practitioner Clement Opoku Gyamfi, who assumes the role of Vice Chairman.

The Committee also includes Eric Donkor, former captain of Asante Kotoko and seasoned player for Windy Professionals and AshantiGold SC, before retiring from professional play.

Completing the roster of the Committee are Mike Bonsu, Mavis Amanor, Delali Senaye, and Jacob Yeboah.

Tasked with a critical mandate, the Club Licensing Committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence of clubs to regulatory standards.

This encompasses vetting license applications, scrutinizing compliance across legal, administrative, financial, technical, medical, and security domains as stipulated by the GFA Statutes and Club Licensing Regulations.

Only upon meeting these rigorous requirements are clubs granted licenses to actively participate in GFA-sanctioned competitions.
