Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Chairman, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has expressed his disappointment with the Black Stars' recent performances in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, highlighting concerns about the team's lack of cohesion and focus.

The national team has had a lackluster start to their qualifying campaign, failing to secure a win in their first two matches.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in their Group F opener and followed up with a 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane.

With only one point from these two games, the Black Stars currently sit third in their group.

In an interview with Graphic Sports, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe criticized the team's approach, accusing the players of prioritizing individual skill over collective effort.

He pointed out that many players seemed more focused on entertaining the crowd with their flashy moves rather than working together to achieve a positive result.

"When they are playing, everybody is trying to play a master game, just joking with the ball.

How can one person try to dribble about four or five players? Impossible," Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe remarked, condemning the over-reliance on individual flair.

Under the leadership of coach Kwesi Appiah, the Black Stars will now turn their attention to a crucial doubleheader against Sudan in the upcoming matchdays three and four, where they will aim to secure their first victory in the qualifiers.
