The Medical Director at the Parliament of Ghana and a CAF Medical instructor, Dr Prince Pambo has been appointed as the new Black Stars team doctor.

He replaces long time Black Stars team doctor Dr. Baba Adam who has been shown the exit.

Dr. Baba Adam was on Monday relieved of his duties  with two days to the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.

Spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association confirmed it in an interview with Happy FM but he was diplomatic as he says it is a routine reshuffle.

“There was a review,” GFA spokesperson Henry Asante Twum told Accra-based Happy FM.

“Authorities saw the need for reshuffling so a decision was made to replace Dr. Adam Baba with Dr. Prince Pambo [as Black Stars Doctor]. It’s just part of normal changes,” he added.

The Black Stars will host Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on 1st June,2022 before taking on Central African Republic on the 5th June,2022.

After which they will travel to Japan to partake in the Kirin Cup where they will play in a four nation tournament with  Japan, Chile and Tunisia as part of the build up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in November.

Dr. Baba was appointed to his role in 2020 and also doubled as the head of the GFA medical team alongside Dr. Kofi Ablorh and Dr. Percy Annan.
