The wait is over and the royalties of Ghana football are lacing their boots not to kick the round leather skin impregnated with air but to slug it out for who will succeed former President Kwasi Nyantakyi.

The Normalization Committtee were mandated by FIFA and the government of Ghana to restore normalcy and sanity in our game after the airing of the number 12 video by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

After Thursday 5th September 2019 GFA extra ordinary congress that was held in Accra with delegates unanimously adopting the new statutes formulated by the Normalization Committee.

The road has now been cleared for the process to choose a new President who according to the latest statutes will serve only for two four year terms.

Since then names like Dr. Kwame Kyei has popped up as a contender for the hot-seat with the latest name to join the chasing pack been former CEO of Goldfields Tarkwa Darmang,Dr Tony Aubyn who is currently a board member for Medeama SC.

It comes as a surprise since he is seldomly known within the football circles aside being the CEO of the Gold mining firm that sponsored the Black Stars throughout qualifiers for our first appearance at the world cup in 2006 Germany.
