Nations FC experienced a defeat in their debut Ghana Premier League match, losing away to Dreams FC in the opening match-week of the 2023/24 season at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

The only goal of the game came in the first half when Emmanuel Adade capitalized on a defensive error by the visitors, striking a fine shot into the net in the 7th minute.

Despite conceding early, Nations FC attempted a quick response, with Nafiu Sulemana and Barimah Baah trying to equalize, but goalkeeper Solomon Agbesi denied them.

The defense of Dreams FC held firm in the first half, preventing Nations FC from finding an equalizer as the half ended with a 1-0 lead for the home team.

Coach Kassim Mingle's team continued to perform well in the hopes of leveling the score, but their efforts proved fruitless.

In an attempt to bolster their attacking options, Nations FC introduced Asamoah Boateng and Ishmael Antwi as substitutes for Amidou Diarra and Emmanuel Boateng, respectively.

Substitute Ishmael Antwi came close to securing a point for Nations FC in the dying moments of the game, but his shot missed the target.

Dreams FC held on to the 1-0 lead, securing all three points to start their Premier League season on a positive note at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
