MTN FA Cup holders Dreams FC drew 1-1 with Kallon Stars of Sierra Leone, securing their progress to the next round with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline. This followed their 2-1 win in Accra two weeks ago.

Agyenim Boateng Mensah gave Dreams FC an early advantage by converting a penalty in the 4th minute, providing the Still Believe lads with a valuable lead.

Despite conceding a late equalizer to Kallon FC, Dreams FC's earlier efforts ensured their place in the group stage of their maiden Confederation Cup campaign.

Dreams FC had previously eliminated Milo FC in the first round, drawing 1-1 in Conakry and then coming from behind to win 2-1 in the return leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.

This achievement marks a historic moment, as it's the first time in over a decade that two Ghanaian clubs have qualified for the group stage of African club competitions since 2006 when both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko played in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
