The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana has issued a strong warning to commercial drivers who fail to implement the recently mandated 15% reduction in transportation fares.

David Agboado, the association’s Public Relations Officer, made the announcement during an interview on the Happy FM. He stated clearly that drivers who disregard the fare cut directive will be arrested and prosecuted.

“Any driver who refuses to reduce fares by 15% as directed will be dealt with legally. We will ensure arrests are made, and offenders prosecuted,” Agboado warned.

He noted that the association is fully in support of the fare reduction and described it as a positive move.

According to him, the decision to lower fares was reached after extensive discussions between the government, transport unions, and other relevant stakeholders.

Agboado reiterated the association’s commitment to ensuring all drivers comply with the new directive and assured the public that enforcement measures will be taken seriously.
