Former Transport Minister Dzifa Ativor together with the Women for Mahama group have visited the convicted Montie trio at the Nsawam prison.


The three, Salifu Maase, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gun were on Wednesday, July 27, sentenced to a four-month jail term by the Supreme Court on June 27 for threatening to kill judges.

Since the sentencing of the Montie FM trio, members of the ruling NDC have been signing a petition book which has been presented to the presidency Tuesday.

Ministers of state including, Education Minister, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang and one of her deputies, Okudzeto Ablakwa, deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye – Ofosu and Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Nana Oye Lithur are among people who signed the petition.

The Former Transport Minister took to the Facebook page of the ruling NDC to encourage the three contemnors urging them to be strong as “justice delayed certainly cannot be justice denied”.

Dzifa Ativoe also presented assorted items like tins of milk, milo, canned fish, a gallon of cooking oil, bottles of water and toiletries to the convicted trio.
