The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa will later today 12th December, 2020 declare the results of the Presidential elections that was cast on Monday 7th December, 2020.

As the returning officer of the Presidential elections, the Chairperson of the commission, Jean Mensa announced late on Wednesday dawn that they are awaiting results of two regions.

She revealed that the two regions the commission is awaiting their results are the Bono East and the Northern Regions.

The EC promised to announce the elections in 24 hours but blames the delay on rain and the inability of their electoral offices from the hinterlands to get to the regional collation center.

Out of the 14 received, seven of them have been verified and the commission has released them on their website and social media handles.

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Jean Mensa confirmed this at a press briefing on Wednesday dawn [9th December,2020] at 12:30am.

The seven regions where the results have been certified and released include Volta, North East, Central, Ahafo, Upper West, Oti and Bono.

The seven outstanding regions are Ashanti, Eastern, Western, Western North, Upper East, Greater Accra and Savannah.
