The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the commencement of a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise, scheduled to run from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 27, 2025.
In an official statement, ECG indicated that the initiative will target all categories of customers with outstanding payments. As part of the exercise, teams will also conduct inspections of prepaid meters to ensure their integrity and detect any irregularities.
ECG is urging all indebted customers to settle their bills promptly in order to avoid disconnection and the associated reconnection fees.
The company also issued a stern warning against illegal self-reconnection, noting that such acts are criminal and will be met with legal action.
The upcoming exercise forms part of ECG’s broader efforts to improve revenue collection and ensure the sustainability of its operations.
