Ghanaian international, Edwin Gyimah has ruled out a return to the Ghanaian topflight side, insisting That he will not play in the Ghana Premier League before calling time on his career.

The hard-tackling midfielder started his football career in the West African country  with Sekondi Hasaacas and later Wa All Stars before joining PSL side Super Sports United in South Africa, where he established his name into the club's folklore.

It has become a norm for Ghanaian Players to return to the domestic league where they started before eventually calling tune to their careers and many players, both past and present have chosen that path.

But speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Alpha Radio, Edwin Gyimah revealed that he has no intention of following the norm, stating that he will retire South Africa.

‘‘I started my football in Ghana but I have been in South Africa for years and I really enjoy the South African league,’’ the Black Leopards man said.

“I have no intention of playing in the local league before I retire as a player because if I don’t travel to Europe I will hang my boot in the South African league,” Gyimah added.

Edwin Gyimah has made 8 appearances for Ghana's Black Stars since making his debut in 2012.
