Egypt have been handed a massive blow with the withdrawal of striker Ahmed Hassan Koka for Sunday's super clash 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana.

The Sporting Braga player has been suffering from a muscle injury which has sidelined him for last week's trip to Maritimo  in the Portuguese top-flight.

Koka left Egypt's camp on Thursday after failing to win the recovery process.

Last week, head coach Hector Cuper called-up Smouha striker and three-time Egypt Premier League goal king Hossam Salama 'Paolo' to him.

Egypt are seeking a win to consolidate their position at the top of the table after winning their opener 2-1 at Congo.
