The Member of Parliament of Ejura-Sekyedomasi Honourable Mohammed Bawa Braimah on Saturday partook in health walk a part of activities to garner support for his re-election campaign.

The six kilometre walk saw a massive turnout as thousands joins the MP in his campaign trail through the principal streets of the Constituency.

It was a different scene created with fun and vigour as participants wearing T-shirts with the picture of the MP's photograph emblazoned on it, danced to music during the walk in praise of his remarkable performance in his first year in Office.

He was mobbed by the constituents as many chanted his name, assuring him of victory in the December contest.

Honourable Bawa-Braimah is seeking a second term in parliament after wrestling the seat from NPP’s Bamba in the 2016 election.

The Ejura-Sekyedomasi seat was in the hands of the NDC from the 2005 to 2012 until Honourable Bamba took it from Bissa’s honourable Pangabur.

But in 2016, Honourable Braimah, then coming in as the DCE, defeated the sitting MP in a fierce election to reclaim the seat for himself and party.

He has already suffered some brutalities alleged to have been masterminded by his political opponent during the voter ID card registration.

But the atmosphere created by Saturday's healthwalk depicted a formidable and resilient parliamentary candidate who is poised for victory.

The battle for the Ejura-Skyedumase seat promises to be a fierce contest between the two candidates who only swapped positions after the 2016 election.

This is because both of them have served the people in their capacities as MCE and MP, thereby narrowing the showdown to comparison of track record.

The constituency remains one of the hopes of the NDC in the Ashanti Region as it currently occupies only three out of the forty-seven seats in the NPP stronghold.

The three seats are Ejura-Sekyedumase, Asawase, and Sekyere Afram Plains.
