Former Trades Minister and flagbearer hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ekwow Spio Garbrah on Tuesday launched his campaign to lead the party to the 2020 polls.

Speaking to the press and some party faithful present Dr Spio Garbrah stressed on the need for the NDC to engage in thorough rebranding to stand a chance against the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Highlighting his point, Garbrah said the party is eager to elect a flagbearer that cannot be tagged with allegations of corruption or incompetence.

He noted that there is a need also to elect a flagbearer that can unite the NDC after the primaries and lead them to elections in 2020.

Spio Garbrah first contested the NDC flagbearership in 2006 and lost to the late John Evans Atta Mills who later won the 2008 General Elections.

Mr Garbrah has developed key pointers he hopes to implement as flagbearer if elected.
