The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Buem Constituency of the Oti Region , Mr. Kofi Adams has descended heavily on the Electoral Commission, describing the institution as incompetent.

His latest comment comes at the back of the Electoral Commission’s new directive to have only Presidential election in the newly created Guan District Assembly of the Oti Region without parliamentary election.

With less than 24 hours to elections, the Commission has directed that voters in the newly created Guan District will have to wait till the Guan Constituency is created before they can vote for their member of parliament.

Speaking in an interview on the eve of the election with Onua TV in Accra, Kofi Adams expresses dismay about the timing of the decision by the EC.

“The last hour decision by the EC to halt parliamentary elections in my constituency shows her gross incompetence,” the NDC candidate said.

A livid Kofi Adams is of the view that the communique is late and may affect the electoral process in the area.
