Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng scored his first goal in the Saudi Pro League, helping Al Orobah secure a dramatic 3-3 draw against Al Kholood in a high-scoring encounter at the Al Hazem Club Stadium.

Boateng, who joined Al Orobah on a one-year contract this summer after leaving Portuguese side Rio Ave, marked his debut goal with a powerful header.

His performance earned him the Man of the Match accolade, highlighting his impact on the game.

The match saw a series of twists and turns, starting with Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng putting Al Kholood ahead.

However, Jean Michel Seri, a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations winner with Ivory Coast, equalized for Al Orobah before the break.

In the second half, Jóhann Gudmundsson initially gave Al Orobah the lead, only for Alex Collado to level the score for the home team.

Boateng then restored Al Orobah’s lead with a goal 13 minutes from time, but a late penalty by Myziane Maolida ensured Al Kholood secured a share of the points.

Boateng’s goal and performance were pivotal in an exciting match that showcased his growing influence at his new club.
