There have been growing concerns about Victor Osimhen possibly being a priority signing for Chelsea this summer after a deal fell through last summer, after he had become an outcast and deemed “surplus to requirements” by his parent club, Napoli.

Last summer, it was well-documented that personal terms proved to be the sticking point in Chelsea’s bid to land Osimhen but the deal fell through when Chelsea failed to agree with the player’s incentives in the contract negotiations.

It will now be an interesting twist to see whether Chelsea actually do return for Victor Osimhen when the transfer market reopens, with the Nigeria international not being the club’s only option as it stands.

Regardless of the transfer saga that transpired last summer, the lethal striker did not let that deter him from reaching a milestone with Galatasaray, where he spent the entire season at as a loanee from Napoli, netting 36 times in 40 games with 6 assists to his name.

As the summer transfer window approaches this term, former Champions League winner with Chelsea and Nigerian legend, John Mikel Obi, who has always been on the Osimhen situation for Chelsea to grab him since last summer has reignited the conversation about how his compatriot, Osimhen could be a very good addition to the Chelsea team, implying that the latter would fit in the team and make the team become a formidable contender in the entirety of Europe if he is finally snapped up by the English outfit.

“It would literally be a phone call, a couple days and done, I have done all I can, it is now down to the club”

“Victor is tailor made for us, he supported us growing up, his idol is Drogba, how many times am I going to say this, he bleeds blue, he wants to play for us!”

“We have to get Victor Osimhen, it will be a disaster after everything we have been through between me, the club and him if he goes somewhere and wears another shirt. He has been on fire, the hunger he plays with, he is reliable, gets you goals and assists”

“It would be stupid to sack Enzo, we are on a good path with him, a brilliant young manager, the way he calls the players out when they aren’t performing to give them a kick up the backside, the board you are watching, Enzo stays!
