Berekum Chelsea forward Emmanuel Sarpong has revealed that the club's ultimate goal for the 2024/25 season is to win the Ghana Premier League title.

The Bibires last secured the league title in 2011, their first and only championship triumph, and they are eager to reclaim the crown this season.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Wontumi FM, Sarpong emphasized the team's determination to make history once again by clinching the league and earning a spot in continental competitions.

"Our prime target for the season is to win the Ghana Premier League title and play in Africa.

The leadership of the club is ready to facilitate the team's Africa campaign if we are able to win the league and secure a spot," Sarpong stated.

Berekum Chelsea, currently sitting 5th on the league table, have recorded two wins and four draws from their opening six matches.

Despite finishing third in the previous season, Sarpong believes the team is now equipped to challenge for the top spot.

The Bibires are set to face Legon Cities in a crucial matchday 11 encounter at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Sarpong and his teammates will be looking to maintain their strong form as they pursue their title ambitions.
