Manchester City have bounced back from 2 consecutive defeats, to beat Southampton 3-1, and cut the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to 7 points, before the top two meet on Thursday.

City took the lead in the 10th minute, when unmarked David Silva slotted home on a cut-back. Southampton equalized in the 36th minute, when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg slammed home, after robbing a City defender. 

Pep Guardiola's men regained the lead in the 45th minute, when Raheem Sterling’s cut-back pass was deflected against a defender, and went in. Sergio Aguero then headed home the last of the night in the 3rd minute of 1st-half stoppage time. Source: presstv.com
