Despite losing some key stars in the current transfer window, Hearts of oak goalie Richard Attah is buoyant that the team is very good enough to compete.

He says the best of player's like Lionel Messi will even struggle for a place in the Hearts of Oak set up.

Hearts of Oak have lost 2019/2020 top scorer Kofi Kordzi to Qatari side Muaither SC while influential forward Joseph Esso has also joined Dreams FC after leaving the club on a free transfer.

The Ghana Premier League is set to start on November 13, and the Hearts of Oak goalie believes his side can adequately compete.

Speaking to Accra based Angel FM, he said, "For now, we have a solid 30-man squad at the club. So any player that joins us will have to fight for a place. No player can easily break into the team"

He continued that, "Even Lionel Messi will struggle to get playing time at Hearts" .

The phobians have been very active in the transfer market having signed Nigerian forwrad Danjuma Kuti, Abednego Tetteh and  Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali.

Nkoranza Warriors striker Isaac Mensah has also signed for the phobians.
