Former Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed has backed the club to clinch the Ghana Premier League title next season.

The Fire Club won their first silverware in the off-season after beating Hearts of Oak to win the G6 crown last Sunday.

And Yahaya Mohammed, who has joined Tanzanian giants Azam FC on a permanent basis, has backed the club to win their second domestic to-flight title next term.

'They can win, there are still some good players there, there is Bright Adjei who scored goals for the Club last season, Derrick Sassraku is also there and a couple of players so I strongly believe they can win the title next season,' he told Accra-based Happy FM.

GHANASoccernet.com understands the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League will kick start on 21 January.
