Ghana legend Mohammed Polo has given his opinion on the incident which occured during Manchester City's Carabao Cup triumph over Chelsea.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga appeared to defy the Maurrizio Sarri’s attempt to substitute him in extra time before City won on penalties.

The Italian gaffer was left in furious disbelief on the touchline at the £71.6m signing's stunning insubordination.

Sarri walked down the tunnel angrily before quickly returning as Guardiola and his City team successful defended their title.

Polo, former Hearts of Oak and Black Stars player in an interview AtinkaSports used his own experience to justify the goalkeeper’s action.

He once refused to be substituted in a game (whiles playing for Great Olympics) and game continued.

"It is not always that the coach is right. I didn't come off knowing I was the one creating everything for the team"
